BOOTS 'N'BUCKLES DANCE CLUB IS GOING TO BE HOSTING VIRTUAL DANCES ! ! !
Boots'n'Buckles are now holding virtual dances once a month using Zoom.. The next scheduled dance will be September 27th. Click hereto visit the B & B web site for more information and playlist.
VIRTUAL CLASSES WILL CONTINUE FOR FALL 2020 !!!!!
Classes will be taught using Zoom. We host the class from our garage, and you each dance with us in your home. Unfortunately, there is no way to process "drop-in" payments for this virtual format, so all of the classes will require registration through the city Parks & Rec Dept. Instructions for registering for each city will be on the "Class Schedule" pages soon. We know this format is not the same experience as live classes, but we hope you can join us in this way until we are able to safely hold live classes again.
Classes through Redwood City will be on TUESDAY AFTERNOONS. These will be a combination of levels and dances from previous Monday mornings and Thursday evenings. High Beginner class from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, and Intermediate from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. (Note time change from Summer) See Tuesday afternoon pages for info.
Classes run through San Mateo will be on Wednesday evenings, Basic Beginner from 7 to 8 PM and Intermediate from 8:30 to 9:30 PM (See Wednesday evening pages)
Classes through San Carlos will be on Thursday afternoons, Basic Beginner from 12:30 to 1:30 PM and Intermediate from 2:00 to 3:00 PM (See Thursday afternoon pages)
If you will be joining us for any of these classes and you are not very familiar with using Zoom, PLEASE read the info on the "Zoom info" page of this web site BEFORE you join the class, and contact us with any question and/or come into the meeting early so we can make sure you know how to get the most out of the experience.

COUNTRY QUICKSTEPPERS' FREE VIRTUAL DANCES HAVE BEEN A HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!!
Feedback from Country Quicksteppers members has been overwhelmingly positive. The club has decided to continue holding virtual dances until they are able to hold live in-person dances again. So, probably for the rest of this year, the dances will be held (using Zoom) on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays. They will be in the afternoon, dancing from 2 to 4 PM, with a chance to visit and socialize before the dance starting at 1:30, and for a little time at the end of the dance. The dances are FREE to attend. Information on how the dances will work, how to join in, etc is available on the Country Quicksteppers' web site. There is also info there about how Zoom works for anyone who has not used it before. While this technology is not perfect, and it is not the same as dancing together, the consensus seems to be that it is better than nothing and the best we can do for now.
The next dance is Saturday, September 19th. Susan "Sparkles" Dodge will be the DJ for this dance. Visit the Quicksteppers' web site (click here) for the Playlist and the Zoom link for the dance, coming soon.
